A warm welcome to you! My name is Lex Garey. I’m a storyteller and character collector.
Character is everywhere. From the antique house on the block to the protagonist of a fiction novel. It is what makes the world tangible and real. It is the organic process we use to assess how well we can relate to someone or something.
I am interested in how we can use that character to humanize our digital worlds. This is a question I explore in the sub-basement of my mind with a handful of other intelligent and poignant people interested in the same.
Some days, I am wandering the digital streets seeking out new connections. Other days, I’m hitting the pavement in search of real human interaction. I find peace with both.
The main focus of this site is to explore the things about ourselves that make us act in certain ways. I am particularly fond of entertaining the idea of merging two contradictory ideologies and lifestyles together. They are often more alike than they realize.
My goal is to help you understand that it is okay to be all of yourself. That every aspect of your character is important and can be a vital piece in humanizing your own digital world.
