How to Save the World

Alright guys, it’s time to get to the heart of this saving-the-world-with-creativity business. It’s no secret that the unemployment rate has increased dramatically over the past two years (9.5 as of July, 2010) and that the world has entered into a new economic age. It’s easy to get caught up in frightening buzzwords like “recession” and “laid-off,” but what is worrying going to solve? Instead, let’s focus how you can use your new found creativity to make a difference in the world we live in.

I honestly believe that if every single person were to live passionately and creatively, the world would be incredibly different and much more sustainable. Just think about that for a second. What if every person you encountered was living life on their own terms? This is not to say that the employer/employee hierarchy would not exist or that corporations would crumble, but that every person involved in those operations truly wanted to be there. Look at Zappos! The folks there are absolutely passionate about their work and have no trouble getting up in the morning. Imagine if that was life for everyone. It would be revolutionary.

Opportunities would come crawling from the woodwork! Passionate people are drawn to each other, if that is how the world was, every idea would be would pushed to the limit and provide new ways of generating income.

There is only one way to fulfill such a dream and it starts with you. One soul that wants to revolutionize their life and this world. I cannot stress enough how important it is to do what you want! Stop living a life you didn’t choose and liberate your thoughts!

Don’t tolerate living a shitty life just because someone told you to do this or that. Tap into your natural creativity and devise a strategy for breaking free. Here are some ideas to help you with that.

In the comments, tell me:

How are you saving the world?

  • Hi Lex,
Great article series! I'm so with you on saving the world through creativity.

I've got creative drive to spare, but also two kids, and I'm working on helping creative people who are also parents find ways to live their passion while raising a family.

I'm looking forward to your site face lift and will definitely be downloading the e-book.

    Alex,

Thank you! It's awesome to know there are others in the world who've caught the same creativity bug.

I checked out your blog. I dig your style and love "domesticated muse." I'd love to read more from you in the future!
